HONOLULU (KHON2) — A fire on the west side sent smoke into the sky Wednesday afternoon.
Honolulu Fire Department labeled the incident a wildland fire and sent crews to the scene to initiate fire attacks from land and in the air.
According to HFD media, the brush-fire was taking place behind Mahaka Elementary School.
While they did label it a ‘slow-moving brush fire,’ no evacuations or road closures have been put in place.
