HONOLULU (KHON2) — Buying holiday decor can add up, but do-it-yourself (DIY) projects are easier and fun to make!
Kathleen Yoshinaga from the Hawaii Floral Culture and Nursery Association joined Wake Up 2Day to share fun DIY decor to spruce up the house.
“It seems like we have so little time but yet there’s so much you can do,” said Yoshinaga.
You can use smaller tree branches and wine bottle tops to create a centerpiece for your desk or table.
How about oranges?
“Now is the time for lots of oranges,” she added.
You can cut and dry your oranges in the oven before making ornaments with pinecones and hang them off a branch.
