Thirty-two-year-old woman Hollee Dela Cruz of Lahaina was reported missing to police on Dec. 11 by a family member who said she had not been heard from since early November.

According to police, she was last seen around Nov. 13 in the Wailuku area. MPD said it was unknown whether she had access to a vehicle and calls to her cell phone were left unanswered.

One week later, Maui police announced that Dela Cruz was located. Officials confirmed she was found deceased with KHON2 on Tuesday, Dec. 24.

MPD was unable to provide further information to avoid jeopardizing the ongoing investigation.
