Honolulu police were called to the H-1 Freeway in the Aiea area around 2:41 p.m. for a motor vehicle collision involving a propane truck.

The incident also caused a load to spill on the highway. No reports of injuries have been made.

As a result of the crash, both westbound and eastbound lanes of the H-1 were closed near the Aiea off-ramp.

In a 4 p.m. update, HDOT announced the eastbound lanes have reopened.

HPD officers are at the scene to direct westbound traffic to the nearest off-ramps.

Drivers are advised to use caution if in the area. Others should avoid the area if possible.
