The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine will get their 2025 portion of the season underway on Thursday.
The Rainbow Wahine will travel to California to take on UC Santa Barbara at 5:00pm HT.
The Wahine (6-5,0-1) will be back in action for the first time in 11 days.
Hawaii Women’s Basketball is currently 9th in the nation in blocks per game (6.3).
For the Rainbow Warriors, they will host UC Santa Barbara at 7:00pm.
This season for the ‘Bows (8-4,0-1) they have dominated the boards, as they are currently ranked 23rd in the nation in rebound margin (+8.3).
Now the Rainbow Warriors haven’t beat UCSB in 5 straight games.
But one player who looks to help change that is Hawaii Forward Harry Rouhliadeff, who has helped the ‘Bows to their early season record while doing anything that is asked of him on the floor.
“It’s a big responsibility being a versatile player, playing the four and five and stretching the floor out spacing. I take great responsibility with that,” said Rouhliadeff.
And his leadership a big help to this years team.
“He’s got leadership qualities, it’s his third year in our program which you know in this group right now, he’s a veteran guy. He can play inside and out, he stepped up in a lot of areas,” said Hawaii Head Coach Eran Ganot.
