HONOLULU (KHON2) — The inauguration ceremony for Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s second term will be live streamed on KHON2.com at 5 p.m. on Jan. 2.
The inauguration will happen at the Mission Memorial Auditorium next to Honolulu Hale.
The inauguration comes after Blangiardi won reelection by 78% back in August.
“It’s a challenge, a responsibility and a privilege of a lifetime rolled into one,” Blangiardi said after his victory. “So when you get to a moment like this, an overwhelming vote of confidence by the public who perceived the work we have done is good, not only is it validating, it’s inspiring, so I’m pumped.”
