HONOLULU (KHON2) — The nurses’ strike is on at Wilcox Medical Center. Three-day strike, as planned, will begin Jan. 14, at 7 am.
The nurses will return to work on Friday, Jan. 17, in the morning, after the strike ends at 6:59 am.
Both parties. expressed their disappointment an agreement was not able to be made.
Wilcox nurses said part of their discernment comes from the hospital allegedly refusing to staff their medical/ surgical units at the same rates as their facilities on Oahu.
Wilcox Medical Center remains open, and said they will continue to provide high-quality care for their patients and the people of Kauai.
