NWS says that there will be southwest winds 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 55 miles per hour possible.

Officials urge residents to secure loose outdoor items and to adjust any plans as necessary so you are not caught outside. Winds could blow down trees and power lines, and widespread power outages are possible.

It should also be noted that travel during this period could be difficult.

Alongside Oʻahu and Kauaʻi, portions of Maui County and Big Island could see periods of strong winds.
