HONOLULU (KHON2) — Need legal advice on bankruptcy, traffic issues or even landlord-tenant issues?

The Hawaii State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division is offering free legal information to celebrate Law Week from May 18 to May 25.

KHON2’s WakeUp2Day will feature lawyers throughout the week to educate the public on the following topics:

May 20 at 7:15 a.m.: Updates on Maui Relief.

May 21 at 6:15 a.m.: Family Law.

May 22 at 6:15 a.m.: Traffic Court.

May 23 at 7:15 a.m.: Landlord-Tenant.

May 24 at 6:15 a.m.: Bankruptcy.


What is a grand jury?

Prefer to ask questions in person? The public can receive free legal advice from volunteer lawyers at the following Ask-a-Lawyer booth locations:

May 19 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Maui Sunday Market.

May 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon: Honolulu Kakaako Farmers Market, Kauai Grover Farmers Market, KTA Hilo 50 East Puainako Street and KTA Kona Coast Shopping Center.

Volunteer lawyers will also be available throughout the week “to assist members of the public who may not have access to an attorney and need general advice or referrals to non-profit organizations that can assist with their legal problems,” said a spokesperson for the event.
