The traffic stemmed from the H-1 Salt Lake Rehabilitation Project, which would require three lanes to close in the eastbound direction near Kahuapaani Street and the Airport off-ramp.

Hawaii Department of Transportation officials said the closure will run through the morning of Monday, Feb. 24.

Two right lanes will close starting at 6:30 p.m. and the third lane will close at 8:30 p.m.

All lanes are expected to reopen at 2:30 a.m. on Monday.
