HONOLULU (KHON2) — Many of Oahu drivers sat in major traffic on the H-1 freeway on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The traffic stemmed from the H-1 Salt Lake Rehabilitation Project, which would require three lanes to close in the eastbound direction near Kahuapaani Street and the Airport off-ramp.
Hawaii Department of Transportation officials said the closure will run through the morning of Monday, Feb. 24.
Two right lanes will close starting at 6:30 p.m. and the third lane will close at 8:30 p.m.
