Lava spews more than 200 feet high in Kilauea’s 11th episode

VOLCANO, Hawaii (KHON2) — Kilauea has begun its 11th episode, spewing lava more than 200 feet high, according to the USGS.

The ongoing Halemaʻumaʻu eruption started just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Officials said the eruption began with a low intensity with lava fountains reaching heights of more than 200 feet by 6:50 p.m.
