HONOLULU (KHON2) — A Honolulu man is facing charges after allegedly placing dangerous objects on a public highway in early February.
George Sado is accused of intentionally or recklessly depositing glass bottles, nails, tacks, wire, or other harmful items on a street or highway in Honolulu on or around February 3, 2025.
Several community members took to social media to document and report the incident.
The action is said to have created a risk of injury to people, animals, or vehicles using the roadway.
Sado’s actions violated a city ordinance designed to protect public safety by prohibiting the placement of hazardous substances on highways.
The charge could lead to legal consequences for Sado if found guilty.
