KAHULUI, Hawaii (KHON2) — A 41-year-old Kahului man has been arrested for Murder in the Second Degree after authorities say he told a person that he had killed someone.
Authorities received a call just after 11 a.m. on the morning of Feb. 26 from the individual the suspect confided in reporting the murder. According to police, the suspect is a former client of the individual.
Police checked the males residence on Kahului Beach Road where they found an unresponsive female, who was deceased upon arrival. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., the suspect was found at Hoʻaloha Park in Kahului, where he was then arrested without incident.
The suspect is in police custody as the investigation continues.
