HONOLULU (KHON2) — A virtual auction is currently taking place to help families attend Assets School, which specializes in educating gifted, dyslexic, and other language-based learning differences children.
“Anyone with the link can bid on the virtual auction — the money raised goes to tuition assistance to help a family send their child to Assets to help them get the education they need,” said BoxJelly CEO and Assets School alumnus Rechung Fujihira. “We have some great auction items. We have Seattle Seahawks Tickets and Kansas City Chiefs tickets with a hotel stay. We have vacations/staycations at the Kahala Hotel, the Surfjack, and the Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki. There are once-in-a-lifetime experiences like driving a NASCAR or attending the Indianapolis 500. Anyone can bid. I’m donating a party space for four hours for up to 50 people at BoxJelly, Hawaii’s first co-working space, you can have it indoors or outdoors.”
The school is also set to host open house events for interested families.
“We are having Open Houses in April if you want to learn more about Assets School. We have an open House on April 3 for the High School and April 17 for the kindergarten to 8th grade campus. For summer School we have K-8 summer school and summer camp. For any high school student, we have an introduction to entrepreneurship.” Fujihira said.
The Illumination Auction began on Sunday and runs until Saturday, March 29th.
Assets School says winning bidders can pick up their auction items at the K-8 campus at 1 ‘Ohana Nui Way from Wednesday, April 2 to Friday, April 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
