38-year-old skateboarder killed in crash involving two vehicles

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 38-year-old man died Friday morning after crashing into two vehicles while riding his skateboard down Makakilo Drive, according to Honolulu police.

Police said the man was descending the hill when he collided with a stopped vehicle, causing him to lose control.

He then skidded into the intersection, where he was struck by a second vehicle.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities also noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
