University of Hawaii softball utility player Mya’Liah Bethea was named the Big West Conference Field Player of the Week on Monday.
In a weekend sweep over Cal State Bakersfield, Bethea homered in all three games, including a grand slam in the series opener.

The Las Vegas native currently shares the Big West lead with 12 home runs.
At 18-18 overall and 11-5 in Big West Conference play, the Rainbow Wahine are currently in fourth place in the Big West standings and will face current runner-up Long Beach State (19-25, 15-3 Big West). Game 1 between the Beach and the ‘Bows begins at 3 p.m. HST on Friday.
