HONOLULU (KHON2) — The ESPN Honolulu Open has been in full swing this past weekend, with the finals being on April 13.
The winners of the mixed semifinals round were Keven Wong and Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall, besting mixed duo Kiora Kunimoto and Tama Shimabukuro two sets to one.
Wong went on to triumph at the men’s finals, winning big with partner Tama Shimabukuro. The pair defeated fellow male duo Callan Dawson and Kento Tamaki in a final set resulting in a score of 15 to 13.
Duo Jamie Haas and Christina Chin beat Dana Raugust and Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall in the women’s final, ousting the duo with a powerful 15 to seven final set.
Participants enjoyed awards at the end of the tournament, with the athletes donning medals for their efforts.
