HONOLULU (KHON2) — Gov. Josh Green and Attorney General Anne Lopez are expected to unveil what they’re calling a ‘historic settlement’ with several global pharmaceutical companies during a press conference Friday afternoon at the State Capitol.
Special Deputy Attorney General Rick Fried, a partner at Honolulu-based law firm Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks, is also slated to speak.
While details of the settlement remain under wraps until the official announcement, officials said the agreement marks a major milestone in Hawaii’s legal fight against major pharmaceutical corporations.
