HONOLULU (KHON2) — An investigation is underway in the downtown Honolulu area after police responded to reports of gunfire.
The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, near N. Beretania Street and Richard Street.
Officials said the incident stemmed from a dispute between an adult male and a female.
Before officers were dispatched to the incident, the man “fired a single shot from a handgun into the air before fleeing the scene.”
The woman also left the area with her infant.
HPD said no injuries have been reported.
