KALIHI, Hawaii (KHON2) — A Honolulu Fire Department investigator is working to determine the cause of a building fire in Kalihi.
The 911 call came in just before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16.
Honolulu firefighters worked to control the flames and extinguished the fire just before noon.
Officials said both directions of Kalihi Street near Ukiuki Place have been closed. The public is asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
