HONOLULU (KHON2) — Multiple first responder agencies are addressing a brush fire in Punchbowl.
Officials said the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 25.
Honolulu firefighters were dispatched shortly after. While the size of the fire is unclear, HFD said no evacuations are currently needed.
As a result of the incident, Prospect Street has been closed in both directions between Huali and Pele Street due to hazardous conditions.
The public should avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
