H1 Freeway crash involving bus leaves at least 17 injured: HFD

HONOLULU (KHON2) — First responder agencies are working to aid several people following a crash in the eastbound lanes of the H1 Freeway.

Officials said the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4 just past the Airport Exit.

According to Honolulu Fire Department, the crash involved a bus and two personal vehicles.

HFD said approximately 17 patients have been injured and are awaiting multiple Honolulu Emergency Medical Services units to help provide aid.

The crash has forced the closure of three lanes. Drivers are advised to avoid the area, expect delays and drive with caution.
