HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 23-year-old motorcyclist died early Friday morning after crashing on the Pali Highway, according to Honolulu police.
The crash happened around 2:24 a.m. in the Pali area.
Police said the man was heading eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control and hit a concrete curb. He was thrown from the motorcycle and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Investigators believe speed was a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
