HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department has deployed helicopters to the site of a brush fire in Waipio, which was first reported on the afternoon of June 19.
Officials first received word of the fire at around 4 p.m., with the blaze sparking near the soccer complex.
According to witnesses, smoke can be seen from miles away, but the area is hard to access. There are no homes or structures currently threatened by the brushfire.
