Maui native and Arkansas Short Stop, Wehiwa Aloy has officially won the 2025 Golden Spikes Award.
“I’m just truly blessed to be able to have this award and for just to be able to play at Arkansas and for the people back home to,” said Aloy in an interview with ESPN.
This season, the former Baldwin star impressed as he hit .352 from the plate and had 68 RBI’s and 21 homeruns.
Aloy was named the SEC Player of the Year this season and finished the season with more than 85 hits in 65 games.
The Arkansas Short stop is the 3rd Razorback to ever win the award in, joining Kevin Kopps (2021) and Andrew Benintendi (2015).
Aloy is also the first Maui native to win the Golden Spikes Award.
