The substation on Kalakaua Avenue will be closed for renovation work starting Sunday, June 2. A portion of the work will be preventative maintenance to mitigate potential water damage, along with some cosmetic work involving new paint and flooring.

Officer staffing will remain the same. Officers will be on the road or working out of the main station, where they normally start and finish their shifts.

There will not be a temporary alternate site. In addition, work should not affect 911 response or patrols.

For walk-in service, the public is advised to head to the HPD Headquarters at 801 S. Beretania Street. If it is an emergency, call 911 immediately.
