The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team is set to take a foreign tour to Japan.
College basketball teams are permitted to take summer trips to other countries once every four years. The Rainbow Wahine will depart on Tuesday.

The Rainbow Wahine have played in the postseason for three consecutive seasons, winning the Big West Tournament in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, the ‘Bows debuted in the WBIT, a new tournament for teams that that not make the NCAA Tournament.
In the 2024-2025 season, the Rainbow Wahine will feature a senior-heavy roster, featuring veterans and UH mainstays such as Daejah Phillips, MeiLani McBee, Jacque David, Kelsie Imai, Lily Wahinekapu, Brooklyn Rewers and Hallie Birdsong.
