Hawaii’s Rico Garcia took the mound for his 1st action as a member of the New York Mets big league roster on Sunday.
Garcia made his 1st appearance in the MLB since 2023 when we was with the Washington Nationals.
The former HPU Pitcher threw for 2 innings and allowed no runs and only 1 hit while striking out 2 batters.
Garcia pitched during the 8th and 9th innings for the Mets during their 6-4 loss.
Garcia did not back down as he struck out Aaron Judge and didn’t allow Giancarlo Stanton to reach base.
