HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaiʻi State Farm Fair has returned after its two-year hiatus to their new home at Whitmore Village for a weekend full of fun.
The fair kicked off on July 12 at 9 a.m. and is lasting until 7 p.m. There’s also a second day of festivities scheduled for July 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau, and is done in partnership with the Hawaiʻi State Department of Agriculture and the Hawaiʻi State 4-H Livestock Council. It is also supported by local organizations such as the Department of Transportation, Kamehameha Schools and more.
The fair includes live farm animals for keiki to enjoy, as well as fresh local produce and plants.

“The annual farm fair was started in 1962 to promote public awareness of Hawaiʻi’s agricultural and ranching industry. Throughout its history, it has touched the lives of more than four generations of families,” said Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau Executive Director Brian Miyamoto. “Thousands have come every year to sample and purchase local produce and products, experience farm animals and participate in demonstrations, workshops and hands-on activities.”
There will also be live performances, entertainment, demonstrations and even a Localicious Live Cook-Off event on Sunday, featuring teen chefs looking to make the best school lunch with local produce.
General admission for the fair is $5 for adults, with free admission for keiki and students.
