Hawaii’s Max Holloway defeats Poirier via Unanimous Decision in UFC 318

Hawaii’s Max Holloway headlined UFC 318 on Saturday against Dustin Poirier in the BMF Title Main Event.

This was Holloway and Poirier’s 3rd time facing off against each other in their careers. Poirier won the previous 2 fights.

Holloway and Poirier battled it out in the octagon, and Holloway retains the BMF Title with the win.

Waianae’s Holloway wins the fight via Unanimous Decision. Holloway landed 201 total strikes to Poirier’s 109 which included 113 significant head strikes and 46 significant body strikes.

Hawaii’s Dan Ige was also on the main card in the 2nd fight of the card in the Featherweight Division.

Ige took on Patricio Pitbull but comes up short as Ige falls via Unanimous Decision.

The Hawaii fighter landed 45 significant strikes to Pitbull’s 47. Ige was also taken down 5 times in the 3 rounds.
