HONOLULU (KHON2) — It’s ‘Christmas in July’ at Wet’n’Wild Hawaii! It will be a festive celebration for a good cause – helping island keiki start the school year strong.
Organizers told KHON2 that if you donate brand-new school supplies valued at $30 or more (with proof of purchase), you can receive one free child’s ticket with each qualifying donation on Saturday, July 26.
All donations will go to the Education for Homeless Children and Youth in the Wai’anae Complex Department of Education.
Most-needed items include pencils, pens, Sharpies, crayons, colored pencils, highlighters, composition notebooks, rulers, blunt-point scissors, glue, Scotch tape, backpacks and flip-flops.
Here are other fun activities that are taking place:
- Santa’s Special Gift for Early Birds: Be one of the first 200 keiki (ages 12 & under) through the gate before 11:30 a.m. and receive a free treat from Santa, while supplies last.
- Dive’n’Movie Elf (PG) shows at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., with extended hours until 8 p.m.
- Snap a photo with Santa and his tropical crew: Capture magical moments with Surfer and his crew, including Mr. Snowman, the Reindeer, a giant Polar Bear and a waddling Penguin, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
