HONOLULU (KHON2) — An early morning argument in Kalihi has led to an immediate response from Honolulu police officers.
On Aug. 7, at approximately 12:45 a.m., HPD responded to a stabbing incident near Lanakila Ave. and North School Street.
According to HPD, the suspect, a 42-year-old male, and the victim, a 50-year-old male, were sitting inside the suspect’s car when the incident happened.
Officials said they were arguing and eventually, the argument escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times, HPD said.
Upon HPD’s arrival, the suspect was immediately detained and arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
Honolulu EMS immediately responded and brought the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition, while administering advanced life support en route.

Police said that the investigation is ongoing, with the suspect in custody, and charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
