The Honolulu All-Stars are headed back to Williamsport.
Honolulu captured the Major Division West Regional championship Thursday, defeating Fullerton, California to clinch a berth in the Little League World Series.
Kuana Payanal’s RBI double in the second inning put Honolulu up 3-0, then Mason Mitani smashed a solo home run to tack on another in the 5th and the 12-and-under squad never looked back.
Starting pitcher Bronson Fermahin dominated on the mound, striking out, 11 batters as Honolulu was impressive in a 4-1 victory.
Mitani, pitched in relief to record the final out of the game to earn the save.
Manager Gerald Oda is leading the program to its fourth trip to Williamsport, where the team will aim for its third Little League World Series championship in eight years. Honolulu won world titles in 2018 and 2022.
Since 2005, Hawai’i has produced four Little League World Series champions, Ewa Beach in 2005, Waipio in 2008, and Honolulu’s two recent titles.
The 2025 Little League World Series begins Aug. 13.
