Shooting at Salt Lake bus stop prompts attempted murder investigation

HONOLULU (KHON2) — District 3 Honolulu Police Department patrol officers responded to gunfire on Kamehameha Highway near Kohomua St.

Officials stated that the incident occurred around 5:50 a.m. on Monday, August 11.

According to HPD, four male victims, ages 15, 17, 19 and 24, were standing at a bus stop on the mauka side of the highway.

A white truck then drove by and fired multiple shots in the air before pointing the gun toward the victims, firing additional rounds.

The three suspects, who were described to be wearing ski masks, then left the scene.

No injuries were reported; the investigation is ongoing.
