HONOLULU (KHON2) — ALOHA Collection is debuting a limited-edition collection at the Bishop Museum’s Kaiwiʻula Night Market this Wednesday, Aug. 20.
In honor of the Hokulea’s 50th birthday and to commemorate her 1976 maiden voyage to Tahiti, ALOHA Collection has collaborated with the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
All proceeds will go to the Polynesian Voyaging Society so they can continue their legacy of practicing traditional Polynesian voyaging while educating and inspiring the community.
ALOHA Collection co-owner Heather Aiu has a personal connection with the Hokulea. Her uncle, Dr. Patrick Aiu, served as the onboard doctor during the Hokulea’s early voyages.

The Bishop Museum’s Kaiwiʻula Night Market is from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. The event has free parking and admission. A variety of vendors are featured at the event, so you can eat, drink and shop while supporting local.
Following the live launch, the collection will be available exclusively on the Hokulea website while supplies last.
