HONOLULU (KHON2) — A popular North American restaurant brand is setting up shop in the heart of Waikiki.
Earls Kitchen + Bar, known for its polished-yet-relaxed dining experience, is set to open its first Hawaii location on Oct. 8 along Kalakaua Avenue.
The 12,900-square-foot space occupies the former Waikiki 3 Theater site and blends Art Deco details from the historic cinema with a breezy, tropical design.
The menu leans modern American with global twists: think USDA Prime steaks, fresh-caught seafood, and signature dishes like sticky Korean ribs and spicy Calabrian pasta.
The bar program mixes classics with a Hawaii flair, serving everything from Earls’ popular margaritas to a Mai Tai made with locally sourced Kuleana Nanea rum.
This new restaurant chain comes out of Canada and they are looking to hire more than 360 people for the Waikiki location, from kitchen staff to management. Positions include front-of-house, back-of-house and leadership roles, with benefits such as competitive pay, extended health coverage, employee discounts and meal budgets, and extensive training with opportunities for career growth.
Earls will host a hiring fair on Friday, Aug. 15 at the Hawaii Prince Hotel from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers recommend registering for an appointment in advance through the link on the company’s website.
This will be Earls’ 11th U.S. location, joining recent openings in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. A Nashville location is planned for early next year.
