25k tickets sell out in minutes for Fiji tribute concert

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Less than 12 hours after tickets went on sale to honor the late reggae icon, George “Fiji” Veikoso, the event has officially sold out.

In a statement from the Fiji Tribute Concert, officials said over 25,000 tickets were claimed in a matter of minutes.

“We understand the excitement and also the disappointment for those who were not able to secure tickets. Please know that we are actively working with the City and County of Honolulu to explore ways to accommodate more of you in the coming days.”

The tribute concert will be held at the Waikiki Shell and will be broadcast on giant screens at Kapiolani Park for everyone to enjoy.
