HONOLULU (KHON2) — A motor vehicle collision occurred at 12:27 am on Aug. 23 that left a 19-year-old female motorcyclist in critical condition.
HPD Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, reported the female motorcyclist was speeding down the eastbound lanes of the H1 freeway.
The female motorcyclist sideswiped a 28-year-old male motorist and his 29-year-old female passenger. The collision caused the motorcyclist to be ejected onto the roadway after she lost control of the vehicle.
The female motorcyclist was brought to the hospital in critical condition and the male motorist and female passenger remained at the scene, not injured.
The female motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
Investigation is ongoing.
