Firefighters battle fire at Schofield Barracks

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Firefighters are currently on scene battling a wildfire at Schofield Barracks.

According to the U.S. Army Garrison, the fire started just after 1 p.m. at the Schofield Barracks Range Complex.

The Army added that the fire currently spans 15 acres and is 10% contained.

There is no immediate threat to homes or facilities.

They also said that firefighters are on scene with brush trucks, with helicopters requested to help extinguish the flames.
