HONOLULU (KHON2) — Even though prices for food and everyday items keep rising, Costco has given its shoppers some good news.
A few popular Kirkland Signature products have actually gone down in price this year.
That means members can grab some favorites for less money, which is a welcome surprise when most stores are charging more.
Costco’s store brand, Kirkland Signature, is especially popular. The company sells hundreds of these products, from snacks to household basics.
In fact, they are often known for being just as good as name brands but sold at a lower cost. Now, some of them are even cheaper than before.
Here are six items that are now cheaper in 2025 compared to last year:
- Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil: This two-liter bottle used to be $24.99; but now it’s $18.39, a 26% drop.
- Chocolate Macadamia Clusters: A 32-ounce jar went from $17.99 to $14.69, about 18% cheaper.
- Mixed Nut Butter: This almond, cashew and seed blend is $7.59 instead of $8.69, saving 13%.
- Organic Peanut Butter: A two-pack of 28-ounce jars fell from $11.49 to $9.99, another 13% decrease.
- Tortilla Strips: A 48-ounce bag dropped from $5.69 to $4.99, or 12% less.
- Refined Olive Oil: A three-liter bottle fell from $29.99 to $27.99, a 7% decrease.
These changes show Costco is working hard to keep prices down. For families trying to save, these deals make Costco an even more popular place to shop across Hawaiʻi.
