HONOLULU (KHON2) — A building fire in Kaneohe on Aug. 27 has been classified as incendiary by the Honolulu Fire Department Investigator.
The HFD Accelerant Detection canine alerted for ignitable liquids multiple times near the front door, where officials say the fire originated.
On Aug. 27, HFD responded after a building fire was reported around 11 p.m. on Kahuhipa Street.
Firefighters found and extinguished the active fire within an abandoned warehouse at 11:08 p.m., HFD reported.
The damage estimate to the building and its contents is $50,000.
