‘Bows open three game homestand Saturday vs. Sam Houston

The University of Hawai‘i football team kicks off a three-game homestand on Saturday night when the Rainbow Warriors host Sam Houston at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. HST.

Hawai‘i (1-1) and Sam Houston (0-2) meet for the second straight season. The Bearkats took last year’s first-ever matchup, 31-13, in Huntsville, Texas.

The ‘Bows enter the week looking to bounce back from a 40-6 loss at Arizona, where a tight 17-6 halftime deficit unraveled in the second half as the Wildcats pulled away.

Head coach Timmy Chang owns a 12-10 record at Ching Complex, including a 6-4 mark against non-conference opponents.

Saturday’s tilt also opens a pivotal stretch for Hawai‘i, which will remain at home the next two weeks.
