The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Football Team took to Manoa on Saturday to take on Portland State.
Luke Weaver started at QB for the 2nd straight game for Hawaii due to an injury to Micah Alejado.
The 1st quarter was a slow quarter for UH as they did not find any points and went into the 2nd quarter tied at 0.
But to end the 1st quarter Elijah Palmer intercepted a pass from former ‘Bow John-Keawe Sagapolutele. UH used that turnover as momentum heading into the 2nd quarter because the ‘Bows scored on that ensuing drive.
Luke Weaver found Cam Barfield on a quick pass who broke to the outside and dove to the pylon to grab the 1st touchdown of the game.
The next drive, Weaver and Hawaii capitalized once again after he found Barfield on a RB screen for the score.
Kansei Matsuzawa added 2 field goals in the 2nd half to push the ‘Bows lead to 20-3.
