HONOLULU (KHON2) — Applications for the first three-year undergraduate degree track in the islands are now open, with Hawaiʻi Pacific University’s new Bachelor of Science in Global Business course.
The course is a 90-credit baccalaureate program designed for students to receive a fast and flexible education.
The Bachelor of Science in Global Business program will be housed out of HPU’s downtown campus, and is completed in 12 sets of eight week terms.
“What sets HPU’s new Bachelor of Science in Global Business apart from other three-year business degrees in the continental United States is the ability for our students to thrive in an innovative, interdisciplinary program in the Pacific, where students can choose mileston experiences…” said HPU Dean of the College of Business Amy Nguyen-Chyung.
According to Nguyen-Chyung, the degree is not just a more condensed version of a previously existing track, but instead a brand new program designed for innovation.
“HPU’s three-year degree is not simply an alteration of our four-year program, but a completely new and comprehensive curriculum that was designed by HPU in partnership with the Minerva Project, known globally for educational innovation,” she said. “HPU will enable students to get real-world skills for real-world success and make their mark in the world a year earlier.”
The program boasts a hands-on approach, mentorship opportunities and internships for students. Students are also encouraged to study abroad in Europe and Asia.
