Chair of HART board Colleen Hanabusa steps down

HONOLULU (KHON2) — After four years of service with the Hawaii Authority for Rapid Transportation, Chair of the HART Board Colleen Hanabusa stepped down from her position.

In a statement, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi thanked Hanabusa for her years of “dedicated and extraordinary service.”

“Colleen’s leadership, experience, and steady guidance have been invaluable to the progress of this critical project for our city. On behalf of the people of Honolulu, I thank her for her commitment and the many contributions she has made to moving Skyline forward,” said Blangiardi.

HART Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina also released a statement, expressing her gratitude to gain “valuable insights and professional growth” through her interactions with Hanabusa.

Mayor Blangiardi said the City and County will work with the community to fill the position.
