HONOLULU (KHON2) – Jordan Botelho is putting it all together for Notre Dame. The Saint Louis School graduate has had a tough road with injuries over the past few seasons, but this weekend, he showed why the Irish have been waiting for his breakout moment.
Against Arkansas, Botelho was ecstatic. He finished with three total tackles, two of them solo, one assist, and a big sack that helped seal Notre Dame’s win.
Battling last season’s knee injury and pectoral injury earlier this year, Botelho’s resilience has been tested time and time again. After missing long stretches of football, he has stayed locked in and worked his way back, proving his toughness both on and off the field.
His impact on defense adds an edge that Notre Dame needs, and his presence makes a difference right away.
From Palolo to South Bend, people love watching another Saint Louis School product making plays on the national stage. For Botelho, this is just the start of what could be a big year.
