Kahuku grad Alohi Gilman traded to Ravens

Kahuku graduate and former Notre Dame standout Alohi Gilman is headed to Baltimore.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that the Los Angeles Chargers are trading their starting safety and a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for edge rusher Odafe Oweh and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Gilman, 28, has been on the field for 87 percent of the Chargers’ defensive snaps this season, recording 22 total tackles and three passes defensed.

A sixth-round pick by Los Angeles in 2020, Gilman has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Chargers. Over 72 career games, he has totaled 247 tackles, five interceptions and four forced fumbles.

Gilman is in the final year of his current contract.
