HONOLULU (KHON2) — Foster Poultry Farms is recalling nearly four million pounds of chicken corn dog products that may contain pieces of wood in the batter, the USDA said.
Affected products were made between July 30, 2024 and Aug. 4, 2025. A complete list of all the recalled products and labels can be found online.
All items recalled contain the number “P-6137B,” which can be found inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed on the packaging.
The corn dogs were distributed nationwide throughout a variety retailers and institutions, including some schools.
USDA first received reports of corn dogs with inappropriate material inside the batter when consumers reached out to complain. Multiple complaints were made, with five complaints reporting injuries from consuming the product.
Officials urge the public to not consume the recalled product, and that owners of the corn dogs should either toss the item in the trash or return it to the place of purchase.
Those with concerns are urged to contact the Foster Farms Consumer Affairs number at (800) 338-8051 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time.
If you sustain an injury from consuming the affected product, contact a healthcare provider.
