HPD opens investigation after armed robbery in Aiea

AIEA (KHON2) — Suspects remain at large after an armed robbery in Aiea last night, Oct. 18, left one victim injured.

Around 11:50 p.m., a 20-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were confronted by four males in a parking lot at Pali Momi St., HPD said.

HPD reported that one of the suspects showed a black handgun as they demanded a gold chain. The suspects fled the scene in lowered pickup trucks without the gold chain after bystanders stepped in.

It was reported that the 20-year-old male sustained multiple injuries, such as bruising and abrasions, after the altercation; the 17-year-old female had no injuries.

HPD has opened a robbery in the first degree investigation. HPD asks that if anyone has information regarding the incident to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 808-955-8300.
