Sweet Sandy loves treats and cuddles

HONOLULU (KHON2) — This week’s Wags and Whiskers spotlight is on Sandy!

Meet Sandy — a 48-pound, three-year-old Hound mix, who was found wandering along the H2 freeway. She is a sweet and gentle soul who may be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up when given patience and delicious treats.

While Sandy is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, that hasn’t stopped her from soaking up all the love and cuddles from Hawaiian Humane Society’s staff and volunteers.

The Hawaiian Humane Society will continue her heartworm treatments after adoption, so all Sandy needs from her new family is a cool, calm home filled with lots of love.

Interested in adopting Sandy? You can meet her at the Hawaiian Humane Society Mōʻiliʻili Campus any day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
